These come with customized application trays and are much more comfortable than store-bought alternatives – and they can help to reduce irritation and sensitivity during and after treatment.
You can help to maintain your teeth whitening results by paying attention to what you eat. Try to avoid foods with artificial colors, as well as simple starches and sugary foods and drinks.
Some fruits, vegetables, and other healthful foods may also stain the teeth. Be sure to drink plenty of water when eating dark-colored foods and brush your teeth within 30-minutes of consuming them to help prevent severe stains. In addition, consider drinking coffee, tea, and wine through a straw to help avoid contact with the surface of teeth.
Brush your teeth after every meal and snack to remove surface stains. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Abrasive toothpaste may remove a more significant amount of discoloration but is not for everyone. Ingredients like baking soda and active charcoal may damage restorations and soft enamel. Flossing should be done daily in addition to brushing. This will help remove debris, plaque, and particulate from between the teeth, further working to keep teeth bright, beautiful, and strong.
