Hannah A., Patient Care Coordinator
Not everyone gets to say they enjoy what they do at work; and because I can, I am truly grateful! I started working with Dr. Stanley and The Smile Centre in 2007, shortly after having moved to Florida from the Philippines. The transition left me a year and a half shy of having my degree in Dental Medicine from the Lyceum-Northwestern University. Thinking I was fully prepared to take on the dental world, and determined to work in the field that I was passionate about, dentistry, I was brought onto the team as the sterilization technician. Shortly after, the opportunity arose for me to be trained in the front office as one of the Guest Service Representatives. I have learned so much working at The Smile Centre as a Patient Care Coordinator - not just in the dental field, but also pertaining to life. One, is that I would not be satisfied working in a place where people only came and went; relationships are important to me, and that is what I love about The Smile Centre--the relationships with my co-workers and our guests go deeper because of genuine concern. Another thing is that I need to feel that I am making a positive impact in the lives of others. I admire the integrity that Dr. Stanley has in his field to not be content with doing mediocre. I like to describe it as his constant thirst to learn and grow.
I’m so blessed to say that I truly enjoy working at The Smile Centre.

Jessica Nichol – Personal Administrative Assistant, Special Projects & Marketing Assistant.
Working at The Smile Centre has been an extraordinary learning experience! I started working at The Smile Centre in February of 2010. I didn’t know very much about dentistry, but with the help and support of the wonderful doctors and team, I have come a long way.
Dr. Stanley and his wife, Executive Director, Tricia Stanley made learning about dentistry uncomplicated and interesting. They have encouraged me to be the best person and employee I can be.
The Smile Centre is a truly a special place to work.
Pamela M., Registered Dental Hygienist

“I have been with Dr. Stanley for 17 years and I continue to be amazed at the life-long learning that he passionately inspires. His energy permeates throughout our entire TEAM and we in turn strive to share our enthusiasm for dental health and how it relates to total health for all of our patients. It also takes more than fine technical skills to create beautiful smiles that our doctors do - it takes artisanship.”
“I am truly vested, along with our team, in providing comprehensive and individual care for our patients. Our patients feel sincerity, trust and integrity and we enjoy inviting them into “our home” for their wellness. Dr. Stanley and our associates in turn trust us to perform at our highest to ensure the utmost in personalized care. We enjoy following up with our patients when they step out the door, because we really do care how we can affect their lives in a positive way. Each person brings something special to the TEAM - and that makes for a successful TEAM.”

Nicole H., Registered Dental Hygienist
Originally from New Jersey, I first entered dentistry in 1989 and was an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant for 11 years before deciding to go to dental hygiene school to be a hygienist. I enjoy patient relationships and providing my own unique way of comfort and style, so continuing my education in dentistry to be a hygienist has allowed me to do that. I attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of N.J. and graduated in 1999. I graduated with Phi Theta Kappa standing and moved to Florida in 2000. From there I started a family. I have 2 two beautiful children: a six year old son, who loves martial arts and school, and a two year old daughter who is as sweet as pie!! My hobbies are going to the beach, traveling, playing with my children and walking my Doberman, Ashe. At the Smile Centre, we all have a way of providing care to each patient on an individual needs basis with thoroughness and comfort. It’s very rewarding to watch a person who, prior to seeing us, struggled keeping up with their oral health learn how to become healthy and feeling good through techniques such as periodontal therapy and nutritional education.
Dixie J., Clinical Coordinator / Certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions
I joined the Smile Centre family in 2008 and quickly learned that we do change lives daily! Working side by side with doctors who are devoted to the highest level of care for our guests makes it exciting and rewarding to come to work every day. My position at The Smile Centre allows me to really connect with our guests and be with them every step of the way through treatment.
With an amazing husband and two beautiful children, I stay pretty busy outside the office, as well. I enjoy running, reading, shoe shopping, and am currently pursuing a business degree at USF.
Brette H., Dental Assistant

Brette Hansen got her start in dentistry at the age of fourteen. She worked for her father’s dental practice in Oak Park, IL. In 2003, Brette graduated Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a Bachelor in Science with a degree in dental hygiene.
Brette practiced hygiene through a variety of settings including privet dental practices and countless volunteer efforts. One of her favorite aspects of dentistry is educating the community. She holds current hygiene licenses in Missouri and Illinois and is planning on taking the Florida Board clinical exam in December 2011. In the meantime, Brette is learning exciting new techniques as a dental assistant at The Smile Centre. The advances dentistry has made in just a few decades are really amazing!

Denise F., Treatment Coordinator
I moved to Florida from Fort Collins, Colorado in January 2011. I have been in dentistry for approximately 10 years, both general and oral surgery.
One of my favorite things about dentistry is meeting new people and helping make them feel more confident about their smile. I look forward to coming to the office each day for not only do I work as part of an amazing team; I also take pride in knowing that we provide exceptional dental care to all our patients. We take pride in educating our patients so they know how to keep their teeth and body healthy. Having a healthy smile makes everyone feel better! I look forward to meeting you!
Brian C., Insurance & Patient Care Coordinator

I am a Guest Services Representative and I am here to try and help our guest though every stage of their treatment. I help to get started, going through all the options, how the insurance works and how to maintain a healthy mouth. We all look at our practice as a place where we would have our own dentistry done. When interacting with all of the great people with all types of dental needs we constantly ask ourselves “How would we like to be treated?” if we were in their situation. The Smile Centre is unlike the majority of dental offices out there due to its continual focus on personal and professional growth and offering comprehensive care to our guests. Some people are overwhelmed when we inform them of what conditions they are currently experiencing or may experience in the future. Our doctors are continually looking for ways to help improve the dental health and quality of life for our patients. Being able to help our guests on all levels of treatment from maintaining a healthy mouth to full mouth reconstruction is a great feeling. In the six years that I have been working with The Smile Centre I have met some great people and seen some great restorations. Our doctors are all committed to creating restorations that look and feel like natural teeth. Our practice is committed to using the most current proven technology available.
Jennifer S., Patient Care Coordinator

I believe in trust, connection with our guests and sincerity. The Smile Centre has all of that…and more! We are not just a dental office, and it shows every time a guest walks out the door. This is the first time I have worked at a job, where I look forward to the day. All of the employees show passion for their job. We try to educate our guests, which they appreciate! The guests are the most important aspect of the job, and they feel it.
Audrey L., Registered Dental Hygienist

As a hygienist, I look forward to the opportunity to assist our patients with their dental needs to ensure healthy smiles and to make each visit a pleasant one. Each patient has specific needs and varying anxiety levels with each dental visit. My goal is to provide exceptional oral healthcare and education while making the dental visit a rewarding experience for the patient. I have been practicing dental hygiene for six years with The Smile Centre sharing almost three of those years with me. I welcome any and all of your questions regarding your oral health as I love to share my knowledge with my patients, especially if I know it will benefit them and their health. My favorite thing about working at The Smile Centre is being part of such a wonderful, friendly, professional team. Our practice is amazing; I think you’ll think so, too. I look forward to your visit!
Lisa M., Certified Dental Assistant
Just one of the reasons I enjoy being a dental assistant here at The Smile Centre is I have the pleasure of working with doctors that genuinely care about their patient’s needs and comfort level. Our team is exceptionally unique in every way and they make everyone feel welcome – just like family! The entire team has a great desire to continue to educate themselves and our patients on how to obtain and maintain good oral health. Mike Stanley, Technical Equipment and Lab Specialist
Mike has spent most of his life so far on the Gulf Coast of Florida, enjoying the opportunities for year-round outdoor activities. After studying Chemistry, Education and Computer Programming at Eckerd College and USF-Tampa, he found ways to use that varied education and knowledge in a single field: Dentistry. During his many years at The Smile Centre, he has served as Chairside Dental Assistant, Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary, and helped incorporate many of new advances in dental technology. Beginning with some of the first computers in a dental office to the latest
Tricia Stanley, Executive Director
By the time I was six, I knew that I would enjoy a profession in helping people stay healthy: mind, body, soul…and later, finances. My love to learn and grow had me always seeking a career that brought fulfillment from sharing with others and seeing their lives positively change through genuine caring and high quality services. Having graduated with a Bachelors Degree in the Biological Sciences with a minor focus on Business from Rice University, Houston, Texas, I launched into the business and computer systems consulting world for a few years before getting back to my original dreams of healthcare.
Having worked in a plethora of industries in both large corporate environments as well as small private companies, I can honestly say upon joining this team, it was immediately apparent that The Smile Centre was special. With Dr. Stanley’s visionary leadership uniquely combined with his genuine caring and selflessness in always wanting the best for others, The Smile Centre shines above all others in the implementation of its mission and vision to provide exceptionally high quality care to our patients in a relaxed friendly environment all while being intently focused on keeping up with the advances in healthcare and technology and providing extensive training to our team. This is a quite a feat for any company, of course; however, seeing The Smile Centre team strive so diligently year after year towards setting and achieving a new and higher standard of dental care and concern for its guests has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
If you live near Sarasota, Bradenton, or Venice, Florida and you’re looking for world class dental care in a truly gentle, caring and relaxed environment, you’re in the right spot! We’re excited to meet you!
We are VERY Proud of Our Sarasota & Venice Dentistry Team!
