Meet Dr. Charles Crane

Cosmetic and general dentist, Dr. Charles E. Crane has dedicated the past 30 years of his life to dentistry and gives The Smile Centre tremendous experience in providing numerous dental services.

Dr. Charles Crane earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery, (D.D.S.) from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1981.  He went on to complete a residency at the University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical School in IV Sedation.  Dr. Crane practiced privately in Punta Gorda, Florida for more than 15 years before moving to the Sarasota area in 2003 where he has focused on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry with a focus in porcelain veneers and restorations.

Dr. Charles Crane has completed numerous post-graduate courses in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry.  He has studied intensely at the acclaimed Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) with course completion in:  Comprehensive Aesthetic Reconstruction, Advanced Functional Aesthetics, and Mastering Neuromuscular Occlusion.  Along with Dr. Stanley, Dr. Crane is one of only a few Venice advanced cosmetic dentists to offer IV Sedation to his patients.

In his spare time Dr. Charles Crane enjoys his two sons, Matthew and Daniel.  He also loves the beach, works at a lifelong avocation of radio broadcasting as a DJ with Clear Channel Communications in Sarasota, is a fan of fast cars, and loves flying his twin engine Piper Aztec airplane.
