Dental Bonding
Serving the Sarasota, Tampa and Tampa Bay areas
Dental teeth bonding is a wonderful solution for many different cosmetic problems that you may have with your teeth. Dental bonding is usually used to correct specific problems on a couple of teeth, rather than on all your teeth.
Much like white fillings, dental bonding is made from a composite resin, and is matched to the color of the rest of your teeth. Dental bonding can be used to correct:
- Chipped Teeth
- Discolored Teeth
- Broken Teeth
- Misshaped Teeth
- Crooked Teeth
- Worn Teeth
If you are considering dental bonding, contact Dr. Stanley in Englewood, Venice, or Sarasota, Florida to schedule an initial consultation. During your initial consultation, Dr. Stanley will inform you all about the dental bonding procedure and answer all your questions.
Dr. Stanley will also evaluate your dental history, your dental health, and listen to what you would like to accomplish with dental bonding. After speaking with you, Dr. Stanley may determine that another cosmetic solution, like porcelain veneers or dental crowns, may be a better solution for your problem.
If you are a dental bonding candidate, you will be able to schedule an appointment to have your teeth bonded. The dental teeth bonding procedure is simple, and usually only takes one visit to the dentist office. During your dental bonding procedure, Dr. Stanley will prepare the tooth or teeth being bonded by applying a special solution to the surface of the teeth that will etch them.
The teeth must be etched in order for the teeth bonding to attach to adhere to the tooth as well as possible. Once the tooth has been etched, Dr. Stanley will mix the composite resin and color match it to the rest of your teeth. Then, he will apply the dental bonding in layers. After each layer is applied, a special high-intensity light is used to bond and harden the dental bonding.
Once the dental bonding has been applied, bonded, and hardened, Dr. Stanley will shape and polish the bonding so that it is indistinguishable from the rest of your teeth. Dental bonding is permanent, but it may need to be touched up again in the future in order for it to retain it's natural look and function.
If you would like to correct your smile with dental bonding, contact Dr. Stanley in Sarasota, Englewood, or Venice, Florida today to schedule your free initial teeth bonding consultation.
