Porcelain veneers usually require a couple of appointments with Dr. Stanley, and it will take about four weeks before you will receive your permanent porcelain veneers. During the first appointment, Dr. Stanley will prepare your teeth for the porcelain veneers by removing a very small amount of the enamel from the front sides of your teeth.

The enamel is removed to ensure a seamless fit between your natural teeth and the porcelain veneers; this also prevents the porcelain veneers from appearing thick or unnatural.

After your teeth have been prepared, Dr. Stanley will take an impression of your smile. This impression will be sent to a dental lab where your permanent porcelain veneers will be created exactly the way you want.

While your porcelain veneers are being created, Dr. Stanley will place temporary veneers on your teeth that you will wear until the lab sends the permanent porcelain veneers back to the dentist office.

Once Dr. Stanley receives you porcelain veneers from the dental lab, he will invite you back to his Florida cosmetic dentistry office to evaluate them. If you would like changes to be made, the porcelain veneers can be sent back, or, if you approve them, the porcelain veneers can be permanently bonded to your teeth.
